A place in my life
With complete serenity
I just want to find it
'Cause it's where I want to be
Somewhere where the pain
Slowly begins to cease
Where all of the trapped memories
I am finally able to release
Somewhere where I know
Who I really am today
Where I suddenly come to realise
I need to live my way
A place so perfect
The happiest tears appear
Somewhere so calm and still
That there will be no fear
I just need to find it
Before my life is through
Before the end of days
It's something I must do
Somewhere where love
Is sincere and so true
Maybe one day I'll find it
And in life I'll start a new
Until I find this place
My life will be in tatters
But when I find it
My heart will no longer shatter
Now I've found 'there'
And now there's so much to gain
From my new life, my new self
Slowly and surely, I'll forget my pain
My life does improve
And who I am I now know
So of all of my confusion
I can finally let go.

Where all of the trapped memories
I am finally able to release
that is packed with meaning and I'm sure we all have memories we wish we could delete forever. Most things teach or have taught us something though, Thanks for entering. -

Wondrful poem. I love they way it seems you will search for the place for all your days living with the sadness just to finaly find that realease and then to have it hold it at the end...Wow I loved the rhyme not too much but enough to make the poem flow smoothly. I love the way it made me feel sad yet hopful. Sadly I have not found that place but I am glad that you did. All and all great write I really loved the lines
