Age is relative
A simple way of measuring
Life
Well, I’m older than other kids my age
A world-weary child among childish adults
How do you measure age
In wisdom
Or in years
Well, I haven’t been here long
But I’m wiser than you know
What does age mean to you
Laughing at another’s pain
Their failure
Well, I don’t like to watch suffering
I don’t drink it in like them
Age can’t save you
An old woman is no safer than an infant
Afraid
Because in the end, we’re all children
Silly, naïve, unprepared
Well, I’m the good kid
I’ll do my best to save us
Do you doubt me because of my age?
Well, I’m wiser than you.

Interesting...A very good poem and really makes the reader think twice. I like your exclamation at the end "Well, I'm wiser than you." It really feels snappy but makes the reader reexamine the way they think.

Nice
Very quaint and, well, wise. I'm sure your teacher would've drank it all up!
