Remember the dance

Remember the feeling,
of lights on your face.

Remember the feeling,
of poise and grace.

So different from at home.

Remember the feeling,
of flying in place.

Remember the feeling,
of time and space.

That is not your own.

Remember the girls lined up,
from left to right.

Remember walking out of the studio,
out into the night.

But most of all, remember the girls who are becoming teachers.

Just. Like. You.

    Welcome to Allpoetry!

This poem is very cute and soft. I like the imagery used to describe a dancer. It sounds lovely. I'm rather uncoordinated myself, otherwise I would love to dance and experience this.

    Nice job!

A beautiful piece that encourages the memory of what it feels like to dance, and how it can almost be flying.
