Doomed Love

I just want to fall asleep in your arms,
to feel secure once more or to have a blissful moment
to forget it all this is I ask

We are separated by the line called the living and the dead.
You on one side and me on the other.
A line that can't be crossed or rubbed out.

Stuck we stand on either side
both wishing we could cross,
but sadly we can not.

As time goes on our love grows stronger,
but its power is making us crumble
        our souls and minds

    Tristan and Isolde once said
"You were right. I don't know if life is
greater than death. But love is more then
                either."

A different story, tragic from the very beginning with a small determined light of hope at the end.

As time goes on our love grows stronger,
but its power is making us crumble
    our souls and minds

So true, love does this to people all the time

Not bad at all, a 'teenage' poem with a quiet quality.

    Regards.
