Our time is spent in innings
she keeps score at the game
I don't care who is winning
I only hear her name
Twice a week is all we play
it's my daughters softball
For six innings she will stay
then I hear the ump call
Strike three, the game is done
it's starting to get dark
We both hit a home run
today at the park
Only two games left to play
our innings start to unwind
Will she leave me today
or will her heart let her find
That she needs to know
if what I said was true
When I let my smile show
and said that I like you
Six innings to last forever
as I try to impress
One day to be together
oh wont you say yes
