I float on sunlit air
with skylarks for company,
curling my fingers round
cotton vitality,
watching it dissolve into song.
The fields blur below,
a rolling patchwork sewn by sparkling rivers,
diamond threads
glittering to the sea.
A gentle breeze
kisses my cheek,
and I lean in to its moving embrace,
tasting the flowers' fragrance.
For summer is here,
the days unfurl like white sails
and my ship
leaves the harbour for lands unknown.

Please leave a comment on what you felt when reading it, especially if you DIDN'T FEEL ANYTHING, even if you don't have anything else to say. Every piece of feedback is needed to make this work! I will try to return the favour!
This is part of a series, experimenting with conveying emotion in words. Hopefully I will be much more competent at this by the time I've finished.
