ahh... Shakespeare, Hamlet no less...as a kid I always imagined Hamlet was something to eat, i once wrote a parody called Omelet... a struggle of eggstra strength...well i grew up in a small town, near a big town...so anyway , what was i saying... ah yes, a Danish, which is like a Berliner... as in " Ich bin ein Berliner..." ahh that is another poem... great work here...PK

    • eggstra strength indeed! you crack me up! small town near a big town... you ARE a ham, or full of jelly anyhow. funny stuff. thanks for the comment!

Ha! I think you arranged that void beyond your words on purpose, of course you did. You are in a groove with these little jewels. We could take this one in so many different ways. Putting aside love and food, I thought of my cup of coffee here in front of me right now and it needs a zap in the microwave.

Short and sweet. I got my Moxie, a ham sandwich and settled in for a long poem...I only got one bite out of my sammich.

No, I don't want anyone's leftovers, well, except maybe Bill Gates' leftover money and Brad Pitt's leftover women.

It's not fun being an after-thought, or worse, an obligation. I guess in relationships (of any strong nature) we have a right to expect it all, and be willing to return in kind.

So what I am saying is...send me a bunch of Moxie and I'll send you, umm, a cookie.

MariGoes' sister eats cold rice...I won't be trading with her anytime soon.

My sister eats cold rice...that is the first thing that came into my mind after reading your verse
And I agree with what you say

  • You nailed it with five powerful words. It isn't easy to convey so much with so litte, but you have done the job to perfection. You trust your reader to be familiar with the age-old aphorism about revenge and then magnify it in a consise, clipped way. Congratulations on your silver trophy. Peace, Liz
