Hemkomst or (Go and tell them.)

Black
sitting in a circle of white
Eyes closed
Head down
Sitting
As something
some
things
Crawl in the Black around him
Tasting the white

A voice, like a balloon
expanding
inside of his

skull

YOU
pushing against the back of his eyes

"Yeah,
me.
What do you want?"

Their laughter crawls
trickling in from the Black
pushing in his ears
and cutting
deep

THE DEAL WAS A WARNING

His head rises
bloody tears dripping red across his cheek
as he stares

"I'm going to come back here-
YOU ARE FREE
-and I'm going to kill you."
GIVE MANKIND OUR REGARDS

She watched as he fell out of the darkness and into the street.  They had never played fair.  She imagined herself crying, softly and with a great, bitter sense of loss, like a human would.  She held that image gently, and watched him as he ran down the street screaming at anyone and everyone.  It was sad, how they stared at him in disbelief and disgust.  He was giving them Their warning, and all they did was step aside so he could pass.

He fell to his knees, sobbing in frustration as the clear blue sky turned to fire.  Mankind looked up as he looked down.  She frowned.  They never played by the rules.  Turn for turn and blood for blood.  She smiled.  She could bend the rules as well.  And she had always been better at it than They.

The people, those little men and their women, all stared at the sky as the darkness crawled out of the sewers, claws and laughter clutching at grates and manhole covers...

Sky afire
Lit by the half truth liar
Who laughed and said
TWAS ALL IN FUN
As he screamed Their warning
and wept
For on that day many children were born
And on that day many died
On that day
The day mankind called The End

She stood there
above the sky afire

Whispering in his ear
"Go Home.
And take them with you."

Respect is asked for, given and understood... :)
