A Morning's Glory

I woke up
a little early today
to see the dark-dimmed sky
and thought perhaps
I had slept though the next day.

But what happened next
was beauty taking over....
my mind fraudulently convulsed
when the sun silently said hello.

It had peeked it's fiery forehead
over wretched treetops
and mesmerized me temporarily.

Golden dollops of magic
danced with periwinkle ringlets
and pink satin.

So beautiful,
so touching,
so breathtaking
that I was lost in thought.

Till the clouds were washed away
by the morning blue glory celestial sphere
and I said....."Wow.."...
