I remember,
In December,
At that party,
In the gloom,
They were talking,
I was gawking
At your face
Across the room.
Then you vanished.
I was banished
To the present
Company.
I had thought you
Were my Pertheus
But you never
Rescued me.

Ohh delightful! Excellent flow and rhyme. And content! I adore this; how well it reads, how it ends especially. Splendid piece, dear friend!
