(I)
Come take my hand, and on the strand
We値l stroll in that spice-laden land,
That痴 like an island in the seas,
Where free to do the things we please,
We値l walk along the moon-lit sand.
We値l search for shells of brilliant brand,
And feel our foreheads freshly fanned
By blue pacific ocean breeze-
Come take my hand.
We値l leave behind the hard demand
Of stressful, pressing meetings planned,
And underneath green Eden trees,
We値l feel that sense of peaceful ease
That free young lovers understand-
Come take my hand.
(II)
Upon the isle, we値l walk a while
Along the white sand for a mile,
And where the palm leaves calmly sway
In balmy trade winds by the bay,
Our brightened eyes will widely smile.
We値l search for stones of every style
And place them in a pretty pile,
Then cheer like children while we play
Upon the isle.
We値l leave behind the office file,
The cell-phone and the high-speed dial,
And naked in the waving spray,
We値l wash our woes and cares away,
And free our hearts from fear and guile-
Upon the isle.

Oh, reading this was a delight, really brought wonderful images to mind.. I felt like I could almost smell the ocean and hear the waves.. Well done..

The structure is awesome and I know I could never write in form like that. I always just write and it always comes out in weird ways. I really respect those who can write like this. Nicely done, this is great.
Thanks for entering my contest

I hope you find this happy isle
To rest and play on for a while
Even if just imagination
I'm certain there'll be true elation

Humm..the description of the togetherness around the words makes me very curious and eager to know more and more about the connection you had..well done...

And naked in the waving spray,
We’ll wash our woes and cares away,
And free our hearts from fear and guile-
Upon the isle.
I love the feel of the salt and sand on my bare skin
where life is bliss and no phones to ring
spending time making love in the sand
and leaving behind the rest
awesome David
