I like to play the raffle
That's held at church each week,
But sometimes I am baffled
And so your help I seek!
The sales are anecdotal
But here's what I've been told:
Ninety-six in total
Already have been sold.
I've half of third of quarter
Of tickets, to my name.
(I am a fond supporter
of my church's game.)
So with this batch of tickets
(Which cost me quite a lot)
I'm in a mental thicket:
How many have I got?
Author notes
Answer in rhyme for double reward! A token reward of 24 points for the first to find the answer!
This poem is open to critical comments, but bear in mind the rhyme is intentionally forced; it's an experiment in how efficiently a puzzle can be communicated in poetry.
How many tickets have I got?

I tried closing a window
to open a door.
Tell me please.
Did you buy four?

Yes, well done! Unfortunately someone else solved this one already.
