Do not weep over my dead body,
instead rejoice over my living soul.
I wish that I could dry your tears,
hug you, and try to make you whole.
While I may not be able to reach out and touch you
or laugh at the silly jokes you make,
I do not want your memories of me
to make your eyes tear up or your heart ache.
You and I both know very well
that I'm not all that far from you.
I am in your mind and in your heart
in all you think and all you do.
I am in the wind which brushes your face
and the sun that beats down to warm you skin;
I am part of the rain that washes your body
and inside the thoughts that make you grin.
Some say that life ends in death
but I can assure you that I am still going strong;
and I will cotinue to stand by your side
and be your twin your whole lifelong.
