Everything is black and white
Blurry eyed I wander in.
I pick a spot in which I reside
A hard narrow bench.
I curl up into a warm fetus
Ignoring the bitter draft
R.E.M pours upon me
And I disappear alone.
In this place I'm free and dancing!
Drinking all the music
I can go on forever ...
Basking in this lucid beauty!
But ofcourse I'm ripped right back,
I've fallen from my bench.
I yawn and gaze around me,
Everything gray and decaying.
I patiently zone back out
As I wait for the game to end
These fucking games take so much time,
And everybody loses in the end.
Suddenly, stark and screaming!
I hear a voice upon me!
It's loud and clear, I'm sure I hear,
A freebird calling my name!
I hear their voice, silent but ringing
Unheard by all the deaf children
Who are you?
The grey turns blue...
I become a river rushing.
Raven calling at the cellar door!
I splash upon the cold gym floor!
I disperse myself into a class of fools
Needlessly chasing their balls
I scan the crowd curiously
Charmed instantly by the Raven's sweet calls.
Soon.. I sight her wings, so magnificent!
But ever so slightly torn
She is a brown haird nymphette,
A freshly hatched egg
No more than a few thousands of years old.
Her song amuses me
As it echoes from closed lips
We are anacronyms, so misplaced!
Me and this raven daughter
Her skin gets wet when I touch her face,
I welcome her with hope and grace,
"Your the most beautiful person in this room."
