through your eyes
the world I see
sadly, is a place
that's known to me
the painful look
upon your face
the fear you find
you must embrace
no tears run here
you can't unwind
you can not feel
your so confined
everything,
you must conceal
I know that this
is not ideal
I'm fine you say
I cant dismiss
the signs you show
they aren't of bliss
dreary eyes
your movements slow
it is sleep
you do not know
replacing memories
your scars run deep
this is a secret
you can not keep
wilting fast
you didn't forget
don't lie to me
you haven't eaten yet
things are bad
I do agree
things happen when
we don't foresee
we make mistakes
and only then
we learn what not
to do again
the pain you feel
it is a lot
whats one more time
just don't get caught
it doesnt matter
its not a crime
stopping would be
an uphill climb
but I must stop
now I see
these eyes I look through
belong to me

This poem is so, so amazing. It's very heavy and full of raw emotion. My favourite line is "The fear you find you must embrace"
I also love the rhyme, it flows so perfectly that you barely notice it at all but it gives it such a wonderful rhythm.
Overall just an amazing poem, all I can say!

this poem really tugged at my heart. i could really feel the emotion in this poem, i can almost relate to it in my own little way. everyone perceives life differently, however i think that this poem has summed up what how most of the world today sees life. i truly think this is a touching poem.
the seventh stanza is the one that reached out to me most. everyone has a secret, it whether we are brave enough or not to admit it and tell it.

I reread, and reread. It's amazing how we see life, whats more amazing is that only we know how we really view ourselves!! Others can see only surface, but truly we know our innermost being. This was a great write, maybe we were looking through the same glasses?? Cuz wow- I had to make sure my name wasn't on this write-LOL. Rae2732 -truly your write wuz true-----Through your eyes the world I see, sadly is a place known to me!! Definitely looking forward to reading more.
