From the soft light of the morning
To the calm of the twilight
Fireflies dance in their flight
Following the large sun.
In the heat of fleeting summer
They are like miracles
Black, red, white, green and yellow;
Reflecting a beautiful world
From dawn to dark
The light; like mettalic vein
The tiny fireflies are flying
Sliding on the wind in an arc
Like comets in round the earth
Like comets in round
The pink and orange of their sunset
Children pursue charmed by their light
Willing to keep them as pets
But not wanting to harm their beauty
So they are left free...
When Titan stops playing
The music of summer
And the coolness of autumn comes
Their show finishes
And the fireflies
So attractive, so free, they die
And resolved is the cycle of their lives
That they must endure alone
For a season
And now I find my end
Like the dimming lights of love and of summer
That have extinguished the fireflies
(I find my mortality...)
