I'm not sure what happened
One minute I was on my way to work
The next
A massive explosion
I awoke to see
Fire everywhere
Destroyed buildings
A city in complete ruin
I got electricuted
But somehow,
I didn't die.
I can do things,
Things your little mind couldn't even imagine.
It's like,
A surge of electricity all through my body,
Healing me,
Making me stronger.
I could make something of this,
I could be the hero you've always dreamed of,
Or I could be your worst nightmare come to life.
I can blow up buildings,
I can fry innocent people,
Restrain them to the floor,
Make them beg for their precious little lives.
I have enemies,
Don't we all?
But it's becoming pretty damn hard,
To distinguish friend from foe,
I have power,
Real power,
For the first time in my life,
The question is,
What am I going to do with it?
Author notes
My boyfriend bought a game called "Infamous", the best damn game I've seen him play for a long time. Watching him play, I felt the urge to write about it.
Honest opinions, please :)

inspiration comes from the strangest places
I loved the imagery in this.
I could be the hero you've always dreamed of
or I could be your worst nightmare come to life
Lovely lines - I also really liked the last 5 lines of this. It would be good to add a few more lines after
"A city in complete ruin" and "I got electrocuted" maybe saying how it came to be? Just a thought though. I really did enjoy this piece and look forward to reading more of your work.
