Dear Kelle,

Dear Kelle,

You don't know me, we have never met.  Tonight I am thinking of you, wishing for you to find some peace of heart, a respite from your pain.  I cannot imagine losing a child to death.  Death is so unnatural to us anyway, but even more so a beloved son in the prime of life and strength.  Jehovah God did not mean for us to suffer this intense loss.  Unfortunately for us, sin entered into the world and death with it.  But the scriptures hold out hope for the future.  John 5: 28 and 29 is one of my favorite passages in the bible.  It assures us that there will be a resurrection of those we have lost to the sting of death.  I find comfort in that as I have lost family members who I miss deeply.  I hope you can find a small comfort in it as well.

In the meantime, you are grieving, that is normal, and you will get through it on your own schedule, so one day at a time, and with all the love and support from friends and family, and others like myself, who will think of you and send a prayer for your well being and comfort.

    Very comforting:

Very comforting scriptures you cited. Mines is Acts 24:15. A sister from my Hall taught it to me and my sister, and it stuck with us. Great job on this poem. We all look foreward to the paradise. That's why we must endure to the end, and keep on the watch as Mark 13:45-47 brings out. Jehovah always keeps his promises. Titus 1:2 brings out: "upon the basis of a hope of the everlasting life which God, who cannot lie, promised before times long lasting." Hebrews 6:17,18 also says: "In this manner God, when he purposed to demonstrate more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of his counsel, stepped in with an oath, 18 in order that, through two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to the refuge may have strong encouragement to lay hold on the hope set before us."

    What A Kind Gesture...

this is...sending comfort and compassion along with the hope that comes from God's word to Kelle. I know it has encouraged her beyond measure for so many to step up and reach out to her in this time of grief. All poetry has truly been a God send for her...It is how we became good friends as well. Thanks fr reaching out and being a lifeline to someone in need, loving your neighbor as Christ commanded. You will be blessed for your kindness in many ways I am sure.~~~Toni~~~

That was a beautiful note to send to someone you don't even know. I have done many for people on this site that I have never met but still feel a deep love for.

    Nicely done!

    Hugs,
