True love is muted
awkward
delicate
It whispers
stumbles
shatters
It’s hard to recognize
over-diagnosed
often looked over
Most loves are false
fleeting
To really mean “true love”
is to one day be shallow
and the next day
~explode~
with knowledge
with feeling
with meaning
suddenly shattered
because it snuck out
while you weren’t looking
It is defined by its absence
and that lack
is the strongest thing of all
Author notes
One of the many things it would have been nice to know beforehand.
In a list
I don't care what you think. I know it needs editing. It's pain, not poetry. It's to take the edge off, not impact the world. Fuck the world. Fuck everything.

It's like they say: often you don't know how much something means to you until it's gone.
My favorite part is: "It’s hard to recognize
over-diagnosed"

Powerful write. I liked the part of love sneaking out when people aren't looking the best. I think there can be lots of truth to those words. I guess the trick to it all is to just stop looking and hope love comes along when the time is right. Thanks for sharing and keep that pen flowing.
