The first day we talked
I remember it so clear
you were a stranger to me
yet there was nothing to fear

your personality caught my attention
and your humor made me smile
i tried to hide my shyness
and talk to you for awhile

then a few months later
you offered me your heart
i accepted it; and that's when
we became a part

a part of a relationship
that grows on ever more
every day; every month
and now we're at four

our 4th month anniversary
in which i hope to share
how much i really love you
and how much i really care

why do i love you?
sometimes words get in the way
not even this poem
can express what i want to say

there's a connection between us
that draws me so near
losing you is something
i don't have to fear

people may talk about us
because their relationship is fake
but our bond is something
their words can never break

what we have is real
and that they can see
