Nothing to gain

Every night it gets worse

Every night that poor little girl gets hurt

Her mother stands in the doorway

As her little girl whimpers with pain

She never says anything

She has nothing to gain

She leaves the room

Her heart breaks

She doesn't know how much she can take

The kids make fun of her funny clothes

Her lack of style

Lack of passion

Lack of fashion

He watches her everyday

She cant run away

No one can see her bruises

No one sees her pain

She cries out in vain

Nobody can hear her pleading for help

She wants to give up.

As she gets older

Her life smolders

She uses drugs

Deals with the pain of being alone

She tries to hide

Attempts suicide

As it gets worse

There is no point of living

He breaks her bones

Punctures her heart

They see her pain too late

They hear her screams too late

Her mother cries

She has nothing to gain

But everything to lose.

  • I can relate to this. My heart breaks for this little girl. I know what it's like tog et completely tortured at school by children born into better situations then I was delt. Children are maliscious mean little shits, for the most part that is.

I tried to mask my pain by diving head first into drugs, booze & boys, didn't work, it only saddened me even more, made me a longer list of regrets to dwell on when the haze clears & I'm sober again.

This piece was amazing, strong, full of emotion.

    Thanks for sharing it!

  • I don't quite think this qualifies as passive aggressive notes, BUT. I am going to let it slide. For the simple fact that I love this piece. The emotion, and thought that you put into this did it's job. It wowed me. Made me think, made me hurt, suffer, and in the end, get angry. This is something I was looking for, something I needed.

You may want to go through and check your punctuation, and maybe cut out a few of the "she"s in there. This could also go along with one of the other prompts of I have up, one of my quotes. But it's up to you. Great work, Thankyou for entering my contest, and good luck!
