Precious Memories

Although I hardly knew you gran,
I treasure your spirit forever,
Do you have internet in heaven,
I really hope that you do,
Although I cannot remberer much,
Of our so sadly short relationship,
As i was such a young boy then,
I've been told of all my visits,
Those long journeys with dad,
Just to meet you granny,
And I wish i could do so now,
Get to know you a little more,
Even if they are precious memories,
I wish i knew you a bit better,
If only you were still here,
I'd love to know you so much more,
I feel as though i'm missing out,
All my mates know there grannies,
Yet mined died so long ago,
This is for you granny,
I'll write a poem for my other granny,
The one i never got to meet.
