The night sky never looked so beautiful.
And the stars,
(They were just for us.)
Moonlight and cigerettes
Highlightwhispered conversations
Cocooned in concrete comfort.
It was [almost] perfect.
(But the flaws made it so.)
And those hands that looked so rough,
Accompanied by those eyes
(you almost looked right through me)
And I kept silent.
"Here's to making it count..."
I [almost] said I love you.
But almost,it seems, never quite cut it.

Perfect Imperfection
Sometimes the most imperfect things just click and together they make a moment perfect. You brought out that in this piece. I've had moments like this so I can relate. Great write. -
