Open up the winter closed windows
Throw back the curtains
and watch the summer arrive
Over hills and dales warming the earth
A chorus of singing birds and animals
singing joy from deep within their hearts
and the colors ..O my shining my eyes
fields of daisies dance on warm summer breeze
and buttercups yellow smiles of sunshine
Roses in the gardens and flowers on the hedge
scents of jasmine and honeysuckle fill cottaged land
Field mice hurry, scurry, gathering tasty seed
Little foxes and their kittens playing unafraid
Kites hover and wings shiver waiting
Badgers fossicking early morning feeds
Sleek silver shining fishes eating tasty weed
Jumping in the little streams that go down to the glen
singing, bubbling , swishing through rocky beds
Exploring eyes of children playing secret games
Onward goes the song song of summer
new life, new directions, looking forward
Its beauty ever calling
how I wish it would remain the same

Tremendous imagry in your colorful summer scene.
I love the fish swishing through rocky beds and the wonderment in not only the children's eyes but those of the speaker as he describes it all so vividly.
Enjoyable read with the scent of roses and honeysuckle interspersed throughout.
