Come

I promise i'll take you
higher than your problems,
not because you deserve it
but because you try with
all you've got to love me.

You attempt to love me
even when you feel that you can't,
because you sacrifice your desires
for me, to be with me, and sometimes
your strength fails you, but
you've learned how to look to me.

You've trusted me blindly,
even when everything seemed
to collapse as if it was a landslide
threathening to take you down,too.
Even then you sought my face,
it didn't matter to you that it was
difficult to believe in something
that wasn't right in front of you.

You've trusted my promises,
and known my name to be The Great I Am:
Jehovah Yireh: He, who provides.

I am just asking you to follow me,
don't ask me any questions,
I promise I won't lead you astray.

    well done as always

impressive and very true. any disciple of Christ would relate to this piece it speaks so well of the love and trust that is required of us to walk in His path (even when that is hard to do)

Poetically it is sound, simple, rhythmic, and beautiful

    spiritually is is perfect

    keep up the good work
You might enjoy this poem I wrote not long ago "listen"

Such a lovely poem of love and trust I especially like the second stanza, a perfect example of what it can mean to have and to offer that love and trust.

    Good luck in the contest
