I don't think it should matter how someone says things, whether they put on a 'nice' voice (in my cousin's opinion which is a pretty screwed up one anyway) or not, whether they 'need to' put on a nice voice or if it comes 'naturally' shouldn't matter (her patronising tone of voice implied she thought it was the former), basically the superficial stuff like how someone looks or what they sound like shouldn't be used to judge them by. Instead it should be less superficial stuff the most superficial maybe being who their friends are, the less superficial being their character and how they act.
We were talking about someone who I really don't like based on the less superficial things: friends, lies, morals etc and I asked her 'do you like him' she responded 'yeah- he's got a really nice voice', with a really patronising tone in her 'nice'. Hopefully she'll grow up because she's 17 and tricked by this nice voice shit in ways that I wasn't at 14. Sorry about the rant everyone!

It's easy to gain an opinion of someone just by the way they 'sound' or 'look'. Learning to tell the difference between sincerity and the facade of 'nice' can take some time. Actually it shouldn't... we could do it as a child, it's hard to decieve them when it comes to character. Why does it become so different as we grow older.
