Each Cross

Each cross represents a fallen soldier,
Every one of them with a life story.
Maybe one was a grocery clerk,
One might have had a newborn baby at home.

Do you think of these heroes every day?
Are they a part of your mind?
They probably aren't,
Since a majority of people who are living now take life for granted.

Their buddies that are still alive remember them,
They think of them constantly.
Each cross represents a life-saver,
Because freedom isn't free.

This is strong and true. When you see a cross on the grave of a solder it means a great deal. When someone dies in a war they should be looked at as a hero. You can say what you want about a war but they are doing what they are told. They fight with honer and with a since of what it takes to keep this country from harm. Good luck in the contest SH
