Reflections*

My soul delights in quiet reflection

Upon God's unforgetfulness

To praise and give thanksgiving

For all His faithful promises

He bids me always welcome

Whatever may be my quest

He spreads His table here before me

And welcome's me in to be His guest

My soul rejoices in quiet reflection

I love to be alone with Him

I love to give Him my love and praises

And sing to Him all my favorite hymns

My heart muses on reflecting

Over stormy trials He brought to pass

For while they were yet still brewing

He threw all my sins behind His back

Whatever come's the season's

Bid them summer ,winter, spring or fall

My soul delights in quiet reflection

He's right there beside me in them all

Author notes

As I was writing this poem I felt God's nearness to me the words seem to flow with no struggle and I praise him for every gift He gives. To Him be the glory . It reminded me of a dear friend Janet who wrote and sung music her music was always sweet to my ear she had taken words from scripture . The chores was called love not sleep lest thou come to poverty open thine eyes and thou shall be fed and thou shall be satisfied with bread. I weep reflecting back to those sweet memories which today are refreshment to my soul. Thank God for His Musicians. In times of drought we need them.

tell me what you think does something need to be changed?

    Nice

This piece has great potentials, great message, good word usage, I think in the line "Over stormy trials He brought to past" the word pass wouuld fit better...thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.
