Grass and mushroom imply ,I should say, active and inactive existence.Grass is self sufficient but mushroom depends on others. haiku also indicates that life is
colorful and death is colorless like grass and mushroom.Death is near life like mushroom lies near grass.Thought is deep in simple words. Great !

oohhh I love this :-) thankyou for entering it and it helps me understand more!! very interesting. I would never have thought of a mushroom! great piece huni xx

  • Very close observation. Actually, you can't miss it when you see it, but not everyone can set one's heart on it. I like the contrast of the color, too - green, white (or some other colors).
Mushrooms usually spring up after a rain.
Right now there are fungus growing on a tree stump in my front yard.

Oh thank you very much for reading this haiku and for leaving a nice response for me to read.

Maybe you can observe that fungus on the tree stump and write a haiku about it for class? I'd like to see that!

came yesterday along a place (in this time of the year almost summer) quite uncommon with big mushrooms. Still upright since they mowed the grass shortly before
    Liked the the twist.

At least my heart is thnx but it has its background

  • A nice play on words! I liked the imagery of your 'ku. Nicely laid out too. Good assonance in L1 and L3.

Strangely enough, I tasted wheat'grass' juice for the first time today and I did not like it. Have you had some?

    All the best,
    Charishma

Enjoyable! I can see the image very clearly in my mind. You can't help but wonder why the mushroom is on its side. Did someone/thing step on it? Did the grass uproot it? Maybe it was just weather related?

    Definitely thought-inspiring. Splendid!

    Best wishes in the contest!

      mushroom

maybe the grass shot it, LOL! although it's more likely it was uprooted by a careless human.
