Bless me Lord for I have sinned. It has been an eternity since I've last confessed. But tonight my jealousy burns through me like holy water.
I watched her twirl his hair with spite in my eyes. The wind carried the sounds of a band no one had ever heard of, as the sky was exasperated with the noises of another poorly conceived love song.
I bit down on my tongue to fight the sensations of covetousness while the Ferris wheel turned in rotation with my raging hopes of our apparitions uniting under the showy neon lights of this sick carnival.
I watched him smile at her as he lead her through the crowded walkways of stuffed animals and aching hearts. He signaled for me to follow and like the third wheel on an unbalanced cart, I shake awkwardly against the road lined with my own discarded optimism.
And her hand found his as the stars got caught in her irises when she gazed upon him. My steps forgot the rhythmic motion of walking as my breath became trapped inside my lungs.
Please forgive me father, for I wanted to scratch her eyes out so she could never see him again.
