I wonder what Geronimo would think, if he were alive today?
If his spirit were to be joined by the Founding Fathers of his day
He, along with Great Chiefs of the time...Chief Joseph and also Red Cloud
Such character and strength they shared, I wonder would Sitting Bull be proud?

 

Would it not be a far better world today if we all showed respect
To practice the Founding Father's ways. Mother Earth we should all protect
What a much better world we'd share, if we had their wisdom...showed kindness
Showing respect to Mother Earth not abuse with ignorant blindness

    I agree with the sentiment you've expressed here but I think I'd be more inclined to follow the ways of Geronimo,Red Cloud and the others than some of our founding fathers who ,though a product of thier times ,were still all little skewed toward the racist side.

      That is what I was trying to get across in this write...that more should follow the ways of the Native Americans

    It would have been good to have the chiefs bust on that mountain overlooking all the presidents. A great little poem that certainly gave food for thought.

    I love this for many reasons. Mostly because it is a wonderful piece and I wish you luck in the contest. Also, the Native American ways of life, those of the old ones and being close to nature and Mother Earth are near and dear to my heart.

    The sharing of everything wonderful between every one of us. Wisdom, Kindness and Mother Earth, what a dream that would be to come true.
