Some say love is a river that washes away our pain
Some say love is a sword to rule a kingdom in vain
Some say love is a distraction till we find what we need
Some say love is a flower and we must nourish the seed

Some say love is a battlefield where we all must fight
To find that one person, our soulmate, the one who's right
What happens when your soulmate can't be found?
His/her heart belongs to another
Does your spirit hit the ground?

Falling for someone
And then you see
With your thoughts
You cannot be free

Expression should be
Just words for them to hear
A show of your true feelings
Without worry or tear
But words are like daggers
When the wrong person is near

Jealousy takes over
