Moondancers

A hollow breeze came wiffling over the brandy hills
the mellow light that makes the night more deadly as it spills
like bleach that stains the grass and petrifies the sea
so stagnant as it hails the sky, blinding you and me.

The silent voice of midnight spoke softy through the air
and pressing on our eardrums a thought that wasn't there
and slowly it will captivate the minds of you and I
as tiny stars break forth upon the dark ancestral sky.

As frail as the moonlight shines, upon the midnight lawn
there stood a pair of drumming hearts, a secret they had sworn
with tender love they danced that night before the coral moon
in hope that soon the sun would rise above the blue lagoon.

    Well Done

I'm jealous of your talent. You have a wonderful stile of writing. I want to read more of your exciting poetry. This is just the thing to read with a glass of cold tea after a hot day of moving dirt around. I'm glad you are writing on all poetry.

In Britain, wherever you live, sworn I gather rhymes with lawn? "a thought that wasn't there"? I love this. I think I need more coffee to get it well though.

  • i am guessing you are not finished, tell me when you are?
