I finally have learned
What you tried to impart
I'm the one who should be grateful
So bless your little heart
I thought slovenly was cool
You were pestering and rude
Until you took all my clothes
And left me standing nude
I took you for granted
Always calling out for you
Till I wore the beer and sandwich
Then I quickly got a clue
Now I've learned to listen
To what you have to say
So instead of complaining
I brought you flowers today
Then later in the evening
You wore a negligee
Boy I sure felt lucky
That night sure blew me away
Then at the morning table
We both sat with a smile
I said I had the day off
You gave a wink and a smile
Man oh man what a weekend
You really wore me out
My God, you are my queen
I will shout so, theres no doubt
