Vincent Van Gogh

                                   His paintings were so glorious.

                                        From his parents point of view

                                                he was a joy himself.

                                  He had all the qualities of a potential

                                             poet from the beginning to the end.

                                              His life style was great,

                                                    but he had a mental illness.

                                              He made lots of pictures through 

                                                   preschool to adulthood.

                                                     Even though he died,

                                                   Vincent made the nationwide

                                                      recognize his extra-ordinary work.

    Wow. It may not rhyme but the story makes up for it DOUBLE time.
    The background really fits with it.
    Pure Poetry. (pun intended)

    The contest may have ended, but as we all know Vincent Van Gogh has artwork that has endured to this day.

    impressive well-written.....need just a little more work....but otherwise I like the knowledge you display in your piece.......keep up the good work.......as a young poet you show gr8 potential.....love peace & harmony

    Wonderful Poem,
    I took a art history courrse though so I , maybe a little critical. He (and others) often though of his child hood as "gloomy,and cold" Oh forget it the poem is lovely.
