mosquitoes at [near] midnight

I open the window
and stick my head into the night.

I don't know what I expect.
maybe poetic words, to come flying at me
with the winds?

if mosquitoes are poets, then my wish
is granted.

Author notes

boredom sucks.
is it a state of mind?
*sigh*
my mind is strange.

    Hoodwinked!

Hahaha. The last two lines had me in stitches.
    This is great!

I'm sorry for the late hoodwink, life has had me all caught up!

Glad to be here to comment, better late than never!

  • Hood-Wink!

    Wonderful!
I absolutely love the simplicity of this and the disappointed feel in the ending, it has a tinge of irony

    Stay safe

    Sorry for the late Hood-Wink!

  • I've never seen a mozzy write
    In poetry or worse
I'm never pleased to see them round
But wasps would be much worse

I've never heard a mozzy sing
    They can't recall the words
Like bees they hum like anything
And both make food for birds

    But there was poetry around
When you stared at the night
The Moon is always most profound
    Just listen to her light
