Les Terribles II

The pounding of her heart was so deep in her chest that she was contemplating that the cavity itself was much too shallow.

Her lungs couldn't keep up with the panic. The fear.

She collapsed to the floor and could not regain use of her legs for moments.
Moments that lingered and tangled into her hair, keeping her at bay.

Her words didn't exist.
But, if you looked closely, her eyes were screaming.

Pleading.
