Rose

the petals of a flower slowly fall free,
as they wilt away in sorrow,
never again to appear triumphant.

once that rose was beautiful,
its blossm so brilliant,
it glowed in the evening sun.

but now its time is over,
slowly melting away,
dying in the midnight moon.
