Surely, you cannot waste
When so much can be done
So much can be used,
And so I try to always save
The paper can be written
on spreading hopeful words.
Or it can be a landscape picture,
a portrait of your loved ones
Perhaps a piece of a novel
A flimsy puzzle, paper mache
Or cultural explorations today
Origami cranes, frogs, hearts
or maybe an airplane to start
Most of all the easiest thing
It will put kids in line; Marching
like soldiers with sailors' caps!
All these things come from
Just one paper and one mind
and a whole lot of imagination.
