Amazing friends are TRUE friends

When my best friend died, i though all hope was lost.
I knew with out my dear friend, i'd have to pay the cost,
until the day i met you. You motivated me, you changed me.
I know you're just a snake, but you're more than what you seem to be.

 

You cheer me up, and make me WANT to be me...

you don't act fake, you set your self free.

I like the way you slither and the way you shake

I like how you don't get  angry if you awake.

 

When I'M angry you'll cheer me up and play peek-a-boo.

When I'M sad and when I cry, you'll shed a tear or two.

You're a true friend and there's nothing ELSE you could do.

I'm so glad i have and amazing friend like you!!!

    Awseome Poem!

    I am not sure if you had intentionally created this poem to have multilayers or not but it does and is very cleverly done. Other than the what the previous commenter said needed to be fixed, and the last line should say "an amazing" not 'AND', you did awesome.

    This sentence "I know you're just a snake, but you're more than what you seem to be" and the cultural meaning of "a Snake" takes this poem up a few levels and has many meanings to many people.

    It is a true work of art. Great Job!

    You typed "i" instead of "I" and I am not sure if it was intentional, but you capitalized both the "i" and "m" in "I'm". An interesting submission. Most people do not consider snakes comforting and compassionate. I too am fascinated by their stealth and glide. I could not help but grin at the image of your snake playing peek-a-boo. Thank you for your entry.
