Icey Winds.

the whispered nightingale,
shifting to seduce,
claiming what they cannot have,
my quiet screams echo in my head.

I thought you were here to save me,
but you ran the opposite direction when I needed someone the most,
my soft sobs caught by the hands of fate,
twisted in my sweet song.

The sparkle of rejection,
igniting so much lost joy,
burnt to the ground,
and not moving.

Flowing like lifted water,
the melody of this place picks up it's pace,
spinning me around,
into an enchanted place.

Neon lights cannot reach me,
for fear of  burnt flesh,
consume my entire voice,
replace me with this grand spirit.

Touching the plants around me,
I realize that this can't be real,
my breathing a fast pant,
and yet it's breath taking.

Preying to never end my time here,
I resolve my fate,
control what I must,
and be like the wind.

Tears of soft grace fall from these eyes,
spotting the ground in dark circles,
Then I realize this won't ever stop,
time won't freeze for me.

I can't keep you here,
in this place of selfish deeds,
weeping with the intoxication of love,
a small breath of wind.

what emotion does this bring out?
