Water's Rising

Missing image
Temperature's changing, hotter each year
giving us all something frightning to fear;
ozone's depleting, pullution's to blame
man should be hanging his proud head in shame.

Huge ice is melting, it's as sure as can be
big bergs are cracking, falling into the sea;
coastal shore lines soon will be no more
but covered with water, removing the shore.

Flooding rich farm land, making men move
more inland, of which no one will approve;
it's global warming that's dealing this card
and it's hitting humanity pretty darn hard.

    The message is more of a universal warning and it should seriously be taken into consideration for the repercussions in the future could be rather grave and yet the powers who can make ammend s sleep wrapped inthe slumber of indifference hoping that this catastrophe slowly coming to a boil will take care of itself.It is wonderful to write on such serious issue and yet not preach as if in a sermon.the entire scenario has been painted matterof fact and without any camouflage.Thanks for sharing such refreshing honesty of verse with me in this age of deceptions and treachery.Take care and keep sharing...

    Comments: I really liked this poem. It showed your personality, which is a vital point in writing about a serious issue, because you don't want to sound like a textbook. Overall I thought you did good. Good luck!
