Sunset at the ocean,
Day turning into night,
The sun fading to become a moon--
Dawn into twilight.
The sparkling waves ebb and flow,
Tinged copper by the sun.
They kiss the shore with peaceful grace--
The day is almost done.
Soft, feathery clouds drift,
Glowing orange from the sun's light,
Like bronze pillows floating in the sky--
Dawn is turning to Twilight.
Golden light casts over all,
Creating an auburn haze,
And slowly darkness begins to fall,
Millions of stars ablaze.
The sun's rays flood into the sky,
Scarlet despite the night.
Slowly it sinks down into the waves--
Dawn has turned to twilight.
