can't a girl just be
without being someone's something
stuffed in an appropriate box
labeled free thinker

thinking is never free
it will cost you
jobs
loves
relationships
social acceptability
unless
you think in the
proper circles

sadly
proper is often
just a justified
cruelty with a
politics of greed
dripping like a
glob of fat
heaped over a healthy salad

they call it dressing
pressed in pomp
and plastic
in a spastic flurry of
mineminemine
from fact to fabrication

tic to toc
the flock will follow
anyone who feeds them
even if it fattens them
for slaughter

so a girl could find
there isn't that much value

in the world of
yes man.

    The world is a vast sea of refuse floating around masquerading as movers and shakers when in fact the real power, the real money, the real trend setting happens in some seldom seen chamber and as soon as you show an inkling of capicity to say NO, you are an enemy of the state and the machine will grind you to pieces.

    There you have it.

    Our world of yes men & yes women could not be more pronounced then it is now. Just take a peek at our government....Just loaded with ass kisses from both genders...Interesting write though.

    Don't know where to start. You have packed so much in here, and it all works!! Each word, each combination just smacked me on the chin, but without shouting. You speak quietly and pack a big punch. How do you do that?

    i absolutely love the way this reads. you're right when you say most follow the crowd blindly. listening to the lies society tells about fitting in . or as you wrote "from fact to fabrication". why should we have to, why should we want to be one piece of fruit in that horn of plenty. i myself would rather be that rare exotic fruit that's hard to come by and even harder to digest. this is only an example of why i enjoy reading your work.
