sticky walk on foreign ground
click and tick of time and travel
accommodate spirit of wanderlust
far from home, laughing in the face of moon
that feels a lot like fire
the brick will guide the unwary
by gold or grind
it is for us to choose
rub of bone and adobe angst
as we contemplate
the chilling notes
that we are beyond retrieval

Wow, this is so deeply metaphorical
and expressed with such beautiful
language. I was captivated
by the exquisite brilliance
this piece offers.. something
very clever & original.
Best of luck & thanks for entering
