To Be a Tree...
In a billion years we will have grown legs...
will we recall the feeling like countless species before us to measure evolution anew?
Time stood still as we drank sunlight, nestled in earth and moss; we nurtured one another as experimental species, and expire as it ends...
Is life mind? Is consciousness life? We will not remember being in pursuit of galaxies...
When our reign arrives will we overcrowd, and leave pollution in our wake? to secure our own, and how many more needlessly in vain quests for glory...?
To be a tree is to yet be innocent, unawakened to time.
