Love is all round us
Bringing some up
Bringing some down
Let me tell you a little something
Religon is also around us
Putting things in a little box that is hidden inside us
Religon puts Love on the towering edge
We all know the nice little story of Adam and Eve
Man and woman
Made to love on the empty world back then
But what about on the other side of the world?
In the shadows?
Under rocks?
Was there a Jessica and Lisa?
Was there a Brandon and Spencer?
Of course not.
They were hiding in those shadows and under rocks
Ashamed for how they were born
Ashamed for how the world will think of them
Religon never said anything about them or anyone like that in anyway
Loving the same gender....a sin?
Loving someone a different color/religon.... a sin?
Love has nothing to do with religon
So listen well
Love doesn't have a limit
Love doesn't have a limit.
Run that through your mind like a broken record
Don't replace that broken record, let it play
I'm a Catholic, but you know what?
I support true love
Not love from another person's perspective
A guy /can/ love another guy
A girl /can/ love another girl
But how can they?
Knowing they'll be hated for LIFE
For who they really are?
Love...doesn't have a damn limit
No matter who says what
Love is everywhere
That emotion is hard to ignore
It's hard to fall in love while religon is pulling you back
From complete happiness with that person
People can't help who they fall in love with
It's how it is
Religon is a love's weakness
So look at Jessica and Lisa
Look at Brandon and Spencer
Tell them to come out from the shadows and from under the rocks
Tell them that...
it's okay to be who they are
Religon doesn't have to ruin their happiness
Tell them that...
it's okay to love another
Tell them that...
other people out there support their love
Tell them that...
God still loves them.
Author notes
Something that has been in my mind for a while actually.
I finally put it down. 8D
So, yea.
