Gave up

My heart keeps me holding on
Though this pains been here for too long
It’s gotten worse, not any better
So I keep wondering will this last forever?
I’m having difficulty just standing after your blows
When will my strength return, no one knows,
My friends seem to think I’m so tough,
But it’s because they don’t know I gave up,
After you ripped the heart from my chest,
Yes I gave up, cause I gave you my best

    Yeah, you have ho idea how close to home this one hits me. Especially after the past week... I hope my heart is right this time... It feels right to me, but I also know I am taking a HUGE chance..... but that is what life is all about, I know.
