The sunlight shines through the trees,
Dappling the ground in warm patches,
And the wind rustles their leaves,
Whispering through the wood.
All is quiet but the birds singing in the branches
Of bushes and white oaks.
The smell of sap and pine cones mingle in the air,
A forest-made perfume.
Flower buds open in the sunlight,
Revealing majestic flowers of every color.
A stream gurgles as it winds its way through
The birches and maples.
And in the center of the forest,
In a most secret place,
Kneeling beside the water,
A unicorn bends its head to drink.

Thank you for your entry
Everyone really seems to want to share the magic of the forest and of nature in this contest. Which I delight in. This one speaks so vividly and colorfully. The imagery is very beautiful. Nice use of descriptive language.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless
