Thornton thought
Anorexia nervosa
Was a distant star
Until he saw Betsy
On the beach
Stark naked
Sitting on the sand
With the waves
Smashing against her
Frail frame,
And she
Just sitting there
With a smile on her face,
As if for the first time
In ages something
Had stirred a hint
Of happiness in her;
He couldn’t get his eyes
From her, despite the shock
He obviously had
By seeing her that way,
He hadn’t expected
That at all; it kind of
Blew him away:
The thin arms
And thighs
And such,
And her eyes
Peering at him
Like some siren
Of the deep.
Betsy looked away
And back at the sea,
Her frame like driftwood
In the incoming waves;
Lifting her back
And forth on the beach;
And there was, you remember,
Something about her
That was lost
To you all
And far from reach.

it is wonderful,beautiful and brilliant.
it really speaks,
reaching out to me. keep writing. -
I love it. I could really picture what is going on, like this scene in a movie. I'm a little confused, but it's still really good. =) 'Her frame like driftwood
In the incoming waves'- Perfect.
